Total small vessel disease (SVD) score was found to be predictive for intracranial hemorrhage and also probably for extracranial bleeding, report researchers from Japan in a study that was presented by Dr Kanta Tanaka at ISC 2023.
Cerebral SVD may be a predictor for bleeding in other organs as well as the brain. The aim of this study was to determine the excess risk of antithrombotic-related bleeding due to cerebral SVD burden.
